Hidden Issues, F>A>C>E> them!
At midlife this is where I found myself, I needed to learn to confront and stay strong, not cower inwardly or crumble.
I cowered for years married to a covert narcissist.
The reaction I received from him was:
- A Raised voice.
- A Red face
- Raised eyebrows that beat me down. How dare you mention him? Why did you do such a thing?… came flying toward me in cold condescending words.
- I cowered. Stunned.
- Fear Grew.
- I closed up.
- I shut up. And began to shut down. Family secrets you do not share.
- That was only the beginning for him to power up and power over me to control me. And I allowed it at that time.
For many years, it was as if God put me in a boot camp training ground to learn tough confrontation skills. And now, I speak on this topic and often train men and women on how to confront at conferences.
In August I am offering a Grow Your Voice Course on this topic so you can respect yourself and build your confidence. Hidden Issues, F>A>C>E> them!

Have courage to speak out in truth with kindness? “not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing” (I Peter 3:9 NASB).
- Learn how to Face Your Difficult person.
- Stand. Look eye ball to eye ball. Voice.

We are told in Proverbs 3:3 , “Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart” (NASB). Lodge truth and kindness in the front of your mind, like placing two character qualities side by side in twin beds. Visualize the two words. Engrave them upon your heart and learn to F.A.C.E. and walk away with a calmness of mind.
