Learn. Resurrect. Creativity.
Over three decades ago, I slowly hid my heart and buried my creative craft of writing. I was told, “You cannot write. Write differently. You write too detailed.” And when I did write, it was criticized and stripped down. A war, I loved to write, but I learned to hate writing. Yet, there were some writing obligations I had to complete. Plus, I was a teacher. For goodness sake, was a parent going to come to my classroom and tell me, “You can not write?” Yet, years prior to this beating down of my writing, I had won the creative writing award my senior year in High School.
So who was telling me the truth?
And now fast forward to today …
- My first published chapter of writing was for the first chapter in Live Big, by Dr. Katie Brazelton. A coaching book.
My first book I co-authored with two other coaches is called, Submersed in the Secret Sorrow of Infertility.
- Next, I wrote an article for “Just Between Us” Magazine. Grow JOY!
- I wrote a chapter for The Transformation Project Word Weaver’s Anthology
- I wrote a chapter for another Christmas Book for Word Weaver’s.
- And then I wrote four books to the 31 day life changing coaching devotionals, Enable Me, Lord, to Shift; Are you stuck in idle? Learn how to shift into the Truth and live .
- And as I write this blog post I have two more books waiting to be published in 2025. A book called, Leading You Through the Valley; a personalized grief-loss coaching book.
- And book five to the Enable Me, Lord, to Shift devotionals.
Learn to resurrect your creativity…
So how have I gone to I can not write, to becoming an author of five published books?
How did I do that, from hiding my writing, to stop writing, to believe I could not write, and to soon publishing my sixth and seventh books?
First, I want you to know, HE is the way. GOD is over all and heals us, if we allow Him access. He gets the BIG praise.
Yet, we humans have to take the steps if we want to live by faith. After all, that is what I coach women toward, to take the steps.
- Leave behind the lies.
- Sow the truth within your mind.
- Step into the unknown
- Become more yourself
- And grow in confidence.
For example, If I was going to deliver the goods that I sensed God wanted out of me, I had to learn how to resurrect my craft of writing. But, how would I do that?
It takes work and a want to. And I invite you to resurrect your craft of writing or any craft that you long to bring forth.

But, you don’t need to wait until then to get started. Still come to the conference, as I would love to meet you and you will learn so much from the faculty. But let me explain this process in more depth in the course below, to help you unfold more of your life purpose.
Daily, first thing in the morning I write. I still do and have done this for over 11 years. I write three notebook pages full of random thoughts. This process slings the mud off of my heart and mind and awakens my words to freedom. Plus it stops the critical editor in my mind, this is junk, impossible to write, you cannot write, why write, who is going to read that garbage, what do you have to offer, scream the lies.
BUT, I keep writing and over time, the liquid gold of words flow easier and up to the surface.
In time, I email my golden treasure of words in book proposals or magazine articles to editors and agents that I meet at writer’s conferences. Then I write again. Then I learn. Then I edit again. And I write books.
I read too. Genres include: devotionals, Bible studies, financial books, grammar, and brain break books that take me away on a vacation.
- And still I write.
- And I write.
- And I write.
- I want to become a great writer and award winning author.
