Life is hard, I will not dismiss that. And life is full of changes and challenges. No matter your story or journey or what has occurred, He is for you — GOD that is!
Are you feeling depleted or lonely?
Several years ago, I taught in a Christian school, then homeschooled my own precious three children, hosted three international students, taught at church, traveled, kept up with laundry, house work, meal preps, yard work, and experienced the wretched taste of losing loved ones and had a major surgery. I was on auto pilot.
And I needed to pull back to read my story as I couldn’t do the busyness road map of life anymore. Plus, my heart had been pummeled from years of emotional abuse and I was running on empty. I longed to bring my heart back into a normal beat for a good life. So I turned to my Creator for the healing of the deep ache. God was my constant companion to enable me to shift. And today, He still is.
NOTHING will satisfy. Nothing! Busyness. Perfectionism. Money. Porn. Food. Drugs. Wine. You name your vice…
I camped out in Psalm 51:10-12 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence. And do not take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation. And sustain me with a willing spirit.”
The book of Psalms gives you permission to feel and work through the deep painfilled emotions of the human soul. And this passage had my prescription right in it.
- A clean heart.
- To be renewed.
- Steadfastness.
- I knew the Holy Spirit wouldn’t leave me. I desperately wanted the joy of my salvation back. Yet, I longed to be sustained and yes, to have a willing spirit too.
And obviously, God answered.
So how do you navigate the road of life if you are running on empty or feeling alone, and even feeling lonely and alone while you’re in a room filled with others?

Recognize, that the tender-love-fingertip touch to the loneliness ache in your soul, is to KNOW, you are not alone. God is alive. He is for you. He created you. HE LOVES YOU! He cares for YOU. And He wants to reign within you.

You are meant to have a relationship with the Lord, Creator of your life. He desires YOU!

Fact over feeling. Truth point. He sees your story. He cares. But will you believe and receive?
And with the Christmas season upon us, it can be one of the busiest times of the year and yet ONE of the most challenging.
The extras, or lack of, can make it very stressful and pain filled- more so.
Shopping. Meal Prep. Cards to send. Work to attend. Decorating the house. Handling the budget. And broken relationships or strained ones add much pain and ache.
And oh yes, normal cooking and cleaning and if children, perhaps running them to extra programs such as dance, sports, church, and clubs.
- You may meet yourself coming and a going. Yet, you long to stop and drop and sip on a good cup of tea or coffee and have a long chat with a dear friend.
- Or, you may be reading this blog and you’re lonely, isolated, alone, sad, and you may want to know for what good is your life.
- Or perhaps, you are in a marriage right now, struggling to keep your head and heart into the game of love and life.
