We all want love! But, do we ever stop and ask how do we love?

To love others is where LOVE begins!

It’s in the giving of love away, when we learn to receive His love. It is opposite of our selfish-pride.

Who is the Creator of Love?    Where does love come from?

God. He is the source of love and the Creator of Love.  for love is from God, (I John 4:7b NASB).

And God is love.I John 4:8 NASB).

I repeat.

God. He is the source of love and the Creator of Love.  for love is from God, (I John 4:7b NASB).

And God is love.I John 4:8 NASB).

So in order to know how to love and to love well we must look to God as our example. He shows us. He gave. He gave His only son.

Short and simple and yet profound and huge and hard to grasp.

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins” ( I John 4:10 NASB).

By this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him” ( I John 4:9 NASB).

  • Love is not grasping and clinging and begging others to love you.
  • Love is not a feeling. Feelings come and go in any relationship.
  • Love is giving with no expectations of anything coming back toward you.

Love is a choice.

  • Love is choosing to love.
  • Love is expressing Christ love through us.
  • Christ is our example.
  • And Christ’s works through the power of the Holy Spirit within believers, refuels us to love. He replenishes our love bank.

“Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another” ( I John : 11 NASB).

A side note, if you are in a relationship with an abuser or narcissist,  they fake love to get. Boundaries are a must and you apply them in truth and kindness.  Remind yourself, to love does not mean you are used.
