Does fear shut you up and shut you down?
Learn Four Truths to Face Your Fear – the Word Works!
In my early twenties, I was single, and hungry for God and a good life. I attended a Bible based training and heard a verse being read aloud about becoming wise. I thought, I want to become wise. I began where I could, I opened up the Scriptures to learn. And that is what I did for many years, day after day, I opened my Bible to learn.
Within a month of turning twenty-five years old, I married. Over the next months and years, I slowly discovered I had married a poser. Time ticked on. The tremendous emotional pain grew in my life from what I lived in and my secret of keeping the abusive marriage hushed. The pain from being married and not loved, and alone, so alone, is worse than being single. So I turned to God and knit my heart to His. I grew in love with Him and His Word. That quarter of a century of living in a toxic environment of captivity was long, grueling, and I internally died as God turned me inside out.
I am forever grateful to God for not giving up on me.
I am still learning and I plan on learning up until the time God takes me home. However, my years and my life experiences have empowered me in my growth of wisdom.
Life circumstances caused my heart and knees to bow to God.
Today, I share four truths with you that will solidify you and your walk with GOD. Especially if fear hounds you!
Reframe Your Mind –Place your lovely head in this frame of Truth.
Repeat these 4 Truths aloud daily as needed.
- The first Truth, Jesus is the SAME, day in and day out.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8, NASB). Constant. Consistent. Jesus. Secure and security forever. He is changeless. He has led me, met me, and walked me through horrific loss. He can do that for you too!
- Emotional Abusive Marriage.
- Home Foreclosure.
- Torn family. My precious children.
- Betrayal.
No matter your storm, and story of stress and mess or uncertainty with the unknowns, He is in it and present.
2. The second Truth, Jesus will ALWAYS be with you.
“I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5b, ESV). Living in isolation in an abusive marriage was the deepest pain I had ever experienced up to that time in my life. Horrific. Horrible. Expecting emotional connection, care, and comfort from a spouse, only to be told, “You shouldn’t feel that way or have a desire to converse” yet you witness the daily distribution of connection, care, and comfort handed out to others, including nonfamily females. I wanted to die right there. But God. He is with me and with you. Look for Him.
- From Friend of the court.
- To Bankruptcy Court.
- To Divorce Court in one county to another county years later,
- God was and is with me. He will not leave me. God is present. I am not alone. I still have a constant companion 24-7. God is dependable to be there-forever, and for you too!
3. The third Truth, Jesus will help.
“I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5b, ESV). He saw it all and sees it all. He provided for me, peace, strength, faith, stability, and endurance. I had to look to Him, to get my daily bread of life and to sustain me and my mind. He did then, and even today, He is my help. He has my back. Forever does. As He promises to not forsake me or you.
4. The fourth Truth, Jesus is love.
“For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations.” (Psalm 100:5, NASB). Women want to be loved. The love kind forever. Happily ever after. Right here is the starting point. God is love. Begin with the Creator of love. God’s love is the real deal and it does not run out, never.
I received my daily love potion and portion from the Lord. I knew He loved me, period in spite of others rejection. He is love. I receive it.
Speak the Truth aloud. Use the Word to defeat the lies of the enemy and he will slither away from wrapping you up in his skin of fear.
