Piercings from abuse cut long and deep into our souls. It can be mental, emotional, spiritual, verbal, physical, sexual, and/or financial abuse.
Emotional abuse can linger long after all other abuse has stopped. Abuse violates the core of our soul. Ask anyone that has been abused.
Recovery work is needed if one wants to grow free.
And a person in abuse often asks questions to themselves.
Where do I turn? Who do I trust? Where do I begin?
The ten top questions that I asked God. And then I ran to HIS Word for answers, directions, and comfort while I sought more help.

Do you hear me, GOD?
Yes, He does. “For the Lord hears the needy And does not despise His who are prisoners” (Psalm 69:33NASB).
2. Who will help me step out of the abuse?
God will and find a trusted woman friend, counselor, or contact Darlene for coaching Email!
“But I am afflicted and needy; Hasten to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay” (Psalm 70:5 NASB).

What good can come from abuse? As hard as it is to believe, something will, if you allow it. “It is good for me that I was afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes” (Psalm 119:71 NASB).
4. Did or does anyone see the abuse?
Yes, God saw it all. “You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways” (Psalm 139:3 NASB).
And I think you will learn of others that saw the abuse too.

Will I know why my abuser abused me? Maybe yes, maybe no.
“The secret things belong to the Lord our God…” (Deuteronomy 29:29a ESV).
- Can I do anything right? IN abuse one is always blamed. Yes, you can.
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33 NASB).

Will God remember me, as the emotional pain is horrible? Yes.
“For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints” (Hebrews 6:10 NASB).

What if people do not believe me?
I am guessing one other or more saw something. ” The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6 NASB).

What helps in the healing process?
Shrink your to do list and focus on the Truth as much as possible to change your mindset. Get into counseling and coaching.
“Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed” ( James 5:16 NASB). (This is also speaking about the abuse in a safe place.)

How do I get rid of the lies in my mind?
Be aggressive and determine to attack the lies with truth. “ We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5 NASB).
10. Am I damaged forever? No. Do not believe that lie. Ask God to… “Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10 NASB).
11. I feel so beaten down emotionally and mentally. Is there any way out of the pit? YES! It will take work and focus, but, can be done.
“Sanctify them in the truth; Thy Word is truth” (John 17:17 NASB).
And a bonus, as so many women struggle with this…the second guessing of myself drives me crazy, how can that stop?
Focus on one positive thing you have already implemented and “When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Thy consolations delight my soul” (Psalm 94:19 NASB).
