How do I step forward when stuck?
I tried to figure out how God was going to turn my life around. My overly analytical mind swung into full speed. I had asked Jesus, Creator of my life, at least a thousand different times, how God? And I flipped my thoughts over by the minute, as if I was swinging in a trapeze show. The thoughts only multiplied fear and squished out the Truth, “the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation” (2 Peter 2:9a NASB).
How do I step forward when stuck?
I asked God. And women asked me, if I step toward my life purpose, then what? How will my life purpose unfold? How will God provide for me? How will I write my books? How will I go back to college and not work? How will God lead me with my artwork? How? How? How?
I get it. The word how was my new BFF. Lord, how will this play out if I confront? Lord, how will you work out my finances? Lord, how will you bring me safely through to a life of abundance in peace, passion, and purpose?
The Truth, the Lord knows the how. “Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation” (2 Peter 2:9a NASB)
To shrink the power and control of the word, how, spend time looking up the verses of II Peter 2:1-8. Peter’s writing tells us that God rescued Noah and his family. The Lord knew the how while the whole world was under a flood.
He rescued Lot, while the twin cities were under fiery skies of brimstone. The Lord knew the how. And if you are a godly person, meaning you love Jesus, and you choose to live for Him, then this is a promise keeper. He is your God, the same God of Noah and Lot. He knew the how then and He knows the how now.
