Dig into your story and you will know what you are to create!

Dig into your story. And you will know what is right for you to create from your story.

Over three decades ago, I slowly hid my heart and buried my creative craft of writing. And I did all other types of crafts. Sewing. Cooking. Baking. Flower arranging. Crocheting. Cleaning. Organizing. Canning. Cross-stitch. Painting and many more.

And as far as writing, I was told in my early-thirties, “You cannot write. Write differently. You write too detailed.” And when I did write, it was criticized and stripped down.

I faced a war. I loved to write, but I learned to hate writing.

Dig into your story. And you will know what is right for you to create from your story.

Even though I was told, “you need to change the way you write.” I had some writing obligations I had to complete. And I was a teacher. For goodness sake, was a student’s parent going to come to my classroom and tell me, “You cannot write?”

Several years prior to this beating down of my writing, I had won the creative writing award my senior year in high school. I had forgotten about that award, until I dug into my cardboard box of my high school memorabilia, and there the truth jumped out at me. You loved to write and to create.

Yes, dig into your story to resurrect your craft.  Mine is writing. What is your craft you are to polish?

And now fast forward to today …

This year in 2026, my sixth and seventh books are to be released. That took work and yet, it is of the Lord and His leading.

Do not fret to just start on your craft. Begin.

The beginning of my writing joy was this, in 2010, I wrote about fear. And my first writing was selected from over 40 participates for the first chapter in a coaching book called, Live Big, by Dr. Katie Brazelton. My chapter, and I wrote some more.

And I re-wrote and I wrote some more.

Then I co-authored a book with two other coaches called, Submersed in the Secret Sorrow of Infertility.

Next, I wrote an article for “Just Between Us” Magazine called GROW JOY

And I kept writing. And I kept digging into my story.

Dig into your story. And you will know what is right for you to create from your story.

Will you dig into your story, today?

Will you head toward your craft you want to create?

I chose to write every day for one year, then another year, and another year. I have written almost every day for the last 12 years of my life, and that is how I have learned to dig into my story to harvest the gold that is to come forth from my story.

So will you dig into your story?

Will you do the hard? I hope so. The World needs your craft.

It takes work and a want to. There are no magic wands. We humans have to take the action steps if we want to live by faith and become all we are meant to become.

As we step into our created potential, the fear and the lies fall off us. And the most beautiful gift happens, we grow closer to our Creator and He heals us and draws us nearer to Him.

After all, to create calls for a connection with our Creator. Try Him out. Dig into your story.

Learn. Grieve. Create. And keep on creating as your heart will soar and sing.

And join me, See you at The Well And this conference will feed your thirty soul to create.
