Start writing…How do I write a book?
4. What does it look like? Erase the idea that you will go away to a hotel and write one night or two and have your book unfold in perfection, just like that. Many well-known authors might write that way, but not too many. Your writing is more like a write, stop, write, stop and write, and write. It all depends on your style. The more you write the more you will learn about you and your writing thoughts and strengths.
5. Writing requires you to show up even when you feel dry.
6. Write while you are in pain.
7. Write by hand and use your keyboard.
8. Create folders to dump your writing in.
9. Just write topical scenes as you think of your book.
10. Some writers write as they go, and some writers are plotters with an outline.
11. The more you write, the more you will learn your rhythm and style. As I wrote my 6th book, and it’s on grief and loss, I created a file and I began writing scenes. As I wrote and dropped documents in the file, over time, I SAW the way the book was to be formatted. This happens.
