SEVEN TIPS TO EMRACE YOUR Birthday!

For women and aging women birthdays can be HARD!

SEVEN TIPS TO EMRACE YOUR Birthday!

  • Widowed.
  • Divorced.
  • Single.
  • Married.
  • Children on their own.
  • Grandchildren doing their thing.
  • Living in abuse perhaps.

Many women struggle with how to celebrate, and how to embrace their birthday.

SEVEN TIPS TO EMRACE YOUR Birthday!

Here are my seven tips as it’s my birthday month! Growing up on a farm, my birthday always coincided with our county fair and the time to harvest the wheat. (See above picture…wheat field recently harvested.)

Once these two were done: county fair and wheat harvest,  we could go on a family camping trip. And it was all close to my birthday!

SEVEN TIPS TO EMRACE YOUR Birthday!

  1. Recognize it’s a gift from the Lord to age. If you’re not going up in numbers you’re dead. Give thanks, daily!
  2. Visit a place or location that centered around your birthday while growing up. Wheat fields for me. I love driving in the country.
  3. Come alive if you are dead inside. Get help through counseling or coaching. Discover your life purpose that will jazz you to get up out of bed.
  4. Exercise.
  5. Jump into something you always wanted to do. (Try piano lessons, create a craft or new recipes.)
  6. Celebrate YOU on your birthday. Do something for yourself. I will eat chocolate lava cakes. YUM!
  7. Get outside…and then buy yourself a gift. I bought a pair of new shoes so far…What will you do?

Life moves fast.

The 20’s and 30’s are decades of college years, work, moves, forming families perhaps, raising children, and/or juggling careers.

The 40’s shift your life again as kids fly the coop or back to college for you.

50’s can be so hard as you start facing the death of loved ones or perhaps you did in your 40s.

Then roll into the 60’s and you might start feeling the body slow a little, perhaps. Keep exercising and eating well and living out your life purpose.

And then into the 70’s … and perhaps you live into the 80’s or the 90’s. Do not stop.

I interviewed two 80 year old ladies that stood at my book table.  I asked them what wisdom they would give to me to tell women. They said, “Keep moving.”

When you work with me, you will live  your life alive! Come alive to embrace you~
