What is Narcissistic Partner Abuse?
This past weekend, I spent time answering a survey from Dr. Henry Cloud related to the topic on Narcissism. It was a wonderful few minutes for me to express what I lived in and to praise God for all the healing work He has done in my life.
If you do not know Dr. Henry Cloud, let me say I have many of his books as they helped me tremendously. Plus, I have used his books to teach and coach women.

And back to the survey, one of the questions on the survey was along the lines of “What was it that made you SEE the truth or made you turn the corner in your story?”
What is Narcissistic Partner Abuse?
I have many scenes and some stand out more than others, but here are five major scenes.
- The day I understood the depth of the abuse I lived in and that he was trying to make me look like I was the crazy one. I knew I had to heighten my discernment and be wise to expose him delicately to stay alive so I could somehow go forward in my life. On this particular day the emotional pain was deep from being ignored.
- The mutiny that the abuser orchestrated.
- The lack of empathy with the death of my father.
- The lack of empathy with the death of my brother.
- The lack of empathy with the death of my mom.
Lack of empathy is a BIG Characteristic of a narcissist.
