What keeps you from God’s Love? Or who keeps you from His love? Do you? Do you raise your hands over your heart creating a shield to keep God out?
What if you dropped your defenses?
Picture the cross. See Jesus as a backdrop of love. Ankles punctured. Arms stretched wide-open—I love you this much! Crown pierced. Head bent. Blood dripping. No division.
Death … love … life. For you…for me.
Scripture states, “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39 NASB).
According to the verses nothing is able to separate us from His love. Absolutely nothing!
So how is your love temperature with God? Is it going up? Is it running low? If so, what is causing the low-love degree?
To apply that verse means: No death, person, angel, evil spirit, situation in progress, or tomorrows “to do lists,” governmental powers, heights, depths, or human being can separate you from His love.
Receive Him. LOVE that is, do you? Will you?
And if not, what causes you to push His love away?
Could it be what was done to you in life, that separates you from His love? Maybe the sexual abuse from a family member when you were five, your parents’ divorce when you were eight, the rape when you were twelve, the death of your mom when you were eighteen, your handicapped child, or maybe the longing for a marriage that never occurred? Or is it the dark non-stop oppressive whisper of a lie from the enemy, “You are not good enough.”
Really, Lord, you love me?
Yes, He does! (And so you know, I am sorry for any pain you have had in life.)
And this is where a woman has to choose by faith to override the lies from the enemy and the pain of life with the Word of Truth.
