Do you want a life?

Recently I shared, there is a way that life can work here on earth.

How about you, do you want a life? “For he who finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the Lord” (Proverbs 8:35 NASB).

Find life!?!

I wanted that years back in my story and so I put this verse into action.  

 I looked to God. BUT,  I had been trying to do life my way and manage it all for the wrong motives.

I wanted to go forward in life and could not figure out why I was so stuck. Our family unit was not moving forward in life.

I was doing-all to please-all, boundary violations, trapped in fear, and the busy merry-go-around of activity. Just do. Show up. Just perform, I did. We lived like a split family under one roof. Until.

Deaths. Devastation. Betrayal. My heart could take no more. The truth wanted out.

The stickiness of the sin of emotional abuse had been vomitted all over me and only three loves saw the way he wielded his covert abuse.

Ignored.

Blamed.

Criticized.

I felt like  I was going crazy, which is what abuse does! Can you relate?

Yet, I continued to have my date time with God, He beamed in on my heart, highlighted the areas that needed His pruning, such as people-pleasing, perfectionism, anger, criticalness, and my tongue. And what was I to do with the large amount of fear I had?

He convicted me. I broke. Surrendered. And asked whom I needed to for their forgiveness. And then step by step I voiced the truth of my story. I grew more clarity as I stepped, which brought wholeness and life. Joy. Passion and my purpose came into focus.

 Do you want your life to work? Do you want a life?

It all begins with looking to Him who created you. And taking inventory to where you are at today!
