In the 2020 Impact Report emotional abuse is described as  a” Behavior that isn’t physical, which may include verbal aggression, intimidation, manipulation, and humiliation, which most often unfolds as a pattern of behavior over time.”

Emotional abuse recorded in their HOTLINE report of 2020 states 96% of the contacts made to the HOTLINE were labeled emotional abuse.
